Dua for Wearing Clothes || All Duas with English Transliteration and Translation

 Assalamualaikum my brothers and sisters in this post we are going to tell you all the duas which we should read for wearing and removing clothes.

1. Dua when wearing a cloth or garment

Arabic-

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِيْ كَسَانِيْ هَذَا (الثَّوْبَ) وَرَزَقَنِيْهِ مِنْ غَيْرِ حَوْلٍ مِنِّيْ وَلاَ قُوَّةٍ 

English Transliteration-

Alhamdu lillaahil-lathee kasaanee haathaa (aththawba) wa razaqaneehi min ghayri hawlim-minnee wa laa quwwatin.

English Translation-

All Praise is for Allaah who has clothed me with this [garment] and provided it for me, with no power nor might from myself.

2. Dua when wearing a new cloth or garment

Arabic-

اللّٰهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَنْتَ كَسَوْتَنِيْهِ، أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ خَيْرِهِ وَخَيْرِ مَا صُنِعَ لَهُ، وَأَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّهِ وَشَرِّ مَا صُنِعَ لَهُ 

English Transliteration-

Allaahumma 'lakal-hamdu 'Anta kasawtaneehi, 'as'aluka min khayrihi wa khayri maa suni'a lahu, wa 'a'oothu bika min sharrihi wa sharri ma suni'a lahu.

English Translation-

O Allaah, for You is all praise, You have clothed me with it, I ask You for the good of it and the good for which it was made, and I seek refuge with You from the evil of it and the evil for which it was made.

3.1. Dua to someone wearing a new cloth 

Arabic-

تُبْلِيْ وَيُخْلِفُ اللّٰهُ تَعَالَى 

English Transliteration-

Tublee wa yukhliful-laahu ta'aalaa.

English Translation-

May you wear it out and Allaah (Ta'aala) replace it [with another].

3.2. Dua to someone wearing a new cloth 

Arabic-

اِلْبَسْ جَدِيْداً وَّعِشْ حَمِيْداً وَّمُتْ شَهِيْداً 

English Transliteration-

Ilbas jadeedan, wa 'ish hameedan, wa mut shaheedan.

English Translation-

Wear anew, live commendably and die a shaheed.

4. Dua before undressing

Arabic-

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ

English Transliteration-

Bismillaahi.

English Translation-

In the name of Allah.
