Dua e Qunoot with English Transliteration and Translation

Qunoot (القنوت) is an arabic word which literally means obedience, piety, humility. Hence, Our Prophet (pbuh) taught us the dua or supplication of Qunoot which is widely known as Dua e Qunoot which we read while standing usually in Witr prayer.

So let's come to dua

Arabic-

اللَّهُمَّ اهْدِنِي فِيمَنْ هَدَيْتَ وَعَافِنِي فِيمَنْ عَافَيْتَ وَتَوَلَّنِي فِيمَنْ تَوَلَّيْتَ وَبَارِكْ لِي فِيمَا أَعْطَيْتَ وَقِنِي شَرَّ مَا قَضَيْتَ إِنَّكَ تَقْضِي وَلاَ يُقْضَى عَلَيْكَ وَإِنَّهُ لاَ يَذِلُّ مَنْ وَالَيْتَ وَلاَ يَعِزُّ مَنْ عَادَيْتَ تَبَارَكْتَ رَبَّنَا وَتَعَالَيْتَ 


Transliteration-

Allaahum-mahdinee feeman hadayta, wa 'aafinee feeman 'aafayta, wa tawallanee feeman tawallayta, wa baarik lee feemaa 'a'atayta, wa qinee sharra maa qadhayta, innaka taqdhee wa laa yuqdhaa 'alayka, 'innahu laa yathillu man waalayta, wa laa ya 'izzu man 'aadayta , tabaarakta Rabbanaa wa ta'aalayta.


Translation-

O Allah, guide me with those whom You have guided, and pardon me with those whom You have pardoned. Befriend me with those whom You have befriended. Bless me in what You have granted. Save me from the evil You have decreed. Indeed, You decree and none can pass decree over You, Indeed, he is not humiliated whom You have befriended  and those whom You are hostile to do not cherish . Blessed are You, Our Lord, and Exalted.

Arabic-

 اَللَّهُمَّ إنا نَسْتَعِينُكَ وَنَسْتَغْفِرُكَ وَنُؤْمِنُ بِكَ وَنَتَوَكَّلُ عَلَيْكَ وَنُثْنِئْ عَلَيْكَ الخَيْرَ وَنَشْكُرُكَ وَلَا نَكْفُرُكَ وَنَخْلَعُ وَنَتْرُكُ مَنْ ئَّفْجُرُكَ اَللَّهُمَّ إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَلَكَ نُصَلِّئ وَنَسْجُدُ وَإِلَيْكَ نَسْعأئ وَنَحْفِدُ وَنَرْجُو رَحْمَتَكَ وَنَخْشآئ عَذَابَكَ إِنَّ عَذَابَكَ بِالكُفَّارِ مُلْحَقٌ


Transliteration-

Allahumma inna nasta'eenuka wa nastaghfiruka wa nu'minu bika wa natawakkalu alaika wa nusni alaikal khair, wa nashkuruka wala nakfuruka wa nakhla'u wa natruku mai yafjuruka, Allah humma iyyaka na'budu wa laka nusalli wa nasjudu wa ilaika nas'aa wa nahfidu wa narju rahmataka wa nakhshaa azaabaka inna azaabaka bil kuffari mulhik.


Translation-

O Allah! We seek your help and your forgiveness and believe in You and rely on You and we praise You beneficently and we are thankful to You and are not ungrateful to You and we alienate and forsake those who disobey You. O Allah! You alone do we worship and for You do we pray and prostrate and we betake to please You and present ourselves for the service in Your cause and we hope for Your mercy and fear Your chastisement. Undoubtedly, Your torment is going to overtake infidels O Allah!
